The Hook
The hook in this film title sequence is that its showing us someone is dead. It shows different stages of the persons death fro them being on the bed dead, to them being wheeled out of the hospital, to them being in their coffin at a funeral. The hook here is that we want to know who it is and why their death is at such importance for the film to start with this person.

Set the Scene
The scene is outside probable where this person has been buried as when it shows where the coffin will be buried which is beneath a tree which symbols the cycle of life and death, that's when the main title appears, which obviously is the main line to the story. Some of the film could be set in the hospital because the dead body is shown a lot in the hospital

Introduce characters
No characters have been shown properly in this title sequence, the only character you get shown glimpses of is the person that is dead but means that this mystery person must be important in the film.

Introduce the genre
I would say by the way this title sequence has been represented, that the genre of this film would be a thriller, as the music is very freaky but kind of happy it adds to the weird film opening. It could also be a comedy, for example The dark Shadows.

Credits
The credits always appear at the same point the music comes on, so its all in sync which is a good idea because then you notice the titles more. They are in white and quite a few of the shots are black so the writing appears more brighter and you are more likely to read it.
