Actors and props
Sibel, who plays Alice, her main prop in the film opening is the old fashioned bike. The bike was actually mine, and we thought it fit into our opening very well. As it was a bike from the sort of era that we were aiming for. Without this prop the film would be completely different, so it plays a big part.
Laura, who plays Rosie, doesn't have a prop in the opening as she doesn't do much apart from sit there and laugh with Alice.

Editing ideas
As an idea, we thought that for the opening of the film to begin we could have the "Fantasy Productions" come on the screen, where the bird which is on top of the 'T' can then fly out, which would add to the whole 'fantasy' idea of the genre and production. The drawn bird with fly out of that screen using various editing programmes, and then it will link into the actual film opening with a bird on an aerial view flying downwards, which Alice will then be introduced as riding on her bike.
Company logo for our film opening
As a group we had put our ideas together to come up with a final company logo for our film opening. We have used the word “fantasy” as our company logo name as the genre of our film will be Fantasy / Thriller, therefore it links. We have used the image of a blackbird that we have drawn as our company logo image as our film will be opening with a blackbird flying. It also links with our music choice of ‘Blackbirds’ by The Beatles.

Research of 1960's events
I have researched into events that took place
within the 1960's that hit headlines across the country so that I can use them
when I write the narration to go over the top of the film. I will be using these
events within the narration to relate back to others characters within her life
such as her family members.
Song idea for our opening
We've so far all agreed on the song sang by The Beatles 'Black Bird' as our film is going to be set in the 1960's, The Beatles were big in the 60's so we think it fits in well. Plus we looked at the lyrics and it kind of fits in with our story line too.
we plan to have the first 38 seconds of this song and then when the opening scene atmosphere changes a little, the song stops and we will add in another as that's when the scene goes creepy.

Name research
I have chosen the name Alice for the main girl within the opening of our film because of the previous TV drama 'Marshlands' which was an old fashioned thriller which links back with our film idea. I think that the name Alice goes well with the aim of our opening and the genre that we want to achieve.
Below are the top baby names for boys and girls in the 1960's as we are basing our film opening around this era. From the list it as helped to pick the second girls name in our film opening, We have decided upon the name Mona. We chose this as it was a popular name in the 1960's and we think that the name goes well with the theme of thriller fantasy and is a good name for a little girl in this era.
